In the "13th Five-Year Plan", renewable energy and recycling energy equipment such as biomass boilers and waste heat boilers are the highlight. There is no reason, just because the fuel of these boilers is very valuable: renewable, low cost, Low pollution, high furnace efficiency, wide coverage... At present, more and more provinces and cities have introduced subsidies for biomass boilers and waste heat utilization boiler subsidy standards, opening up a good market for the wide application of biomass boilers and waste heat boilers prospect.
There are many types of biomass fuels. In the boiler market, there are straw boilers, sugar aldehyde slag boilers, palm shell boilers, etc. The boilers of these boilers are roughly the same type, but the parameters of the boiler are different depending on the design of the fuel. The calculation of fuel consumption of biomass boilers and the calculation of gas consumption of gas-fired boilers are the same as the calculation of coal consumption of coal-fired boilers, and they are also determined by boiler efficiency and fuel calorific value.
Especially in terms of fuel calorific value, fuels are mostly used for combustion, and various exhaust gas temperatures exceed the condensation temperature of water vapor. It is impossible to release the condensation heat of water vapor. Therefore, energy utilization is generally based on the low level of fuel application. The calorific value is used as the basis for calculation. Different countries have different choices. Japan and North American countries are used to using high calorific value, while my country, the former Soviet Union, Germany and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development use low calorific value. Some countries use both calorific values.
1. Calculation of consumption of biomass pellet fuel combustion boiler
Hourly consumption of biomass furnace = 600,000 kcal * tonnage / fuel calorific value / boiler combustion efficiency
Take the question of how much fuel a 10-ton straw steam boiler uses in one hour as an example. One ton is 600,000 kcal. Assuming that the fuel heat is 4000kcal and the boiler thermal efficiency is 85%, then a 10-ton biomass pellet boiler needs fuel for one hour. The amount is 600000*10/4000/85%, which is about 1800kg/h.
2. A summary of fuel consumption estimates for straw-burning boilers by tonnage (assuming conditions are the same as above)
1 ton of forming biomass boiler requires 180kg/h of fuel per hour | The fuel consumption per hour of the 2 ton biomass burning boiler is 360kg/h |
4 tons of biomass pellet boiler fuel consumption per hour 720kg/h | The fuel consumption per hour of the 5-ton biomass boiler is 900kg/h |
6 tons of biomass chain steam boiler fuel consumption per hour 1080kg/h | Hourly fuel consumption of 8 tons straw fuel boiler is 1440kg/h |
10T straw biomass boiler fuel consumption per hour 1800kg/h | Fuel consumption per hour of 12 tons of biomass boiler is 2160kg/h |
15 tons of biomass boiler fuel consumption per hour 2700kg/h | Hourly fuel consumption of a 20-ton biomass pellet boiler is 3600kg/h |
25 tons of biomass boiler fuel consumption per hour 4500kg/h | 30 ton biomass pellet steam boiler requires 5400kg/h of fuel per hour |
35 tons of straw burning boiler 1 hour fuel consumption 6300kg/h | 40 tons of biomass boiler fuel consumption per hour 7200kg/h |
A 45-ton corner tube biomass steam boiler requires a minimum fuel consumption of 8100kg/h per hour | 50 tons of biomass briquette fuel boiler 1 hour fuel consumption 9000kg/h |
The 55-ton biomass pellet burning boiler requires 9900 kg/h of fuel per hour | 60 tons of biomass boiler consumes 10800kg/h of straw per hour |
1 hour straw fuel consumption of 65 tons boiler 11700kg/h | The 75-ton biomass power boiler consumes 13500kg/h of biomass per hour |

Generally speaking, the calorific value of the pellet fuel of agricultural raw materials is generally around 3000-4200KCAL/KG, and the calorific value of the pellet fuel of forestry raw materials is generally higher at about 4200-5000KCAL/KG. The calorific value of forestry pellet fuel after carbonization is not less than 7000KCAL/KG, which is completely comparable to the required calorific value of standard coal.
At present, the price of various biomass fuels is generally 600-900 yuan/ton. The fuel cost in the operating cost of a biomass pellet fuel boiler can be estimated based on the biomass fuel consumption per hour of the boiler.
