IWMF is the most advanced flagship facility designed to help Singapore achieve greater environmental sustainability. In addition to waste-to-energy plants and material recycling facilities, food waste treatment and sludge incineration plants will also be included.

According to the contract design, as part of the first phase of the Tuas Nexus IWMF project, the waste incineration power plant can process 2900 tons of waste per day, and the material recycling facility can process 250 tons of material per day.
