Guide: Since the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the “13th Five-Year Plan” on July 8, the energy conservation and green development of the industry and communications industry. The data shows that from 2016 to 2019, the energy consumption per unit of industrial added value of enterprises above designated size in my country has dropped by more than 15%, which is equivalent to saving 480 million tons of standard coal and saving energy costs of about 400 billion yuan.

On the one hand, the elimination of backwardness and the elimination of excess capacity have achieved significant results. From 2016 to 2018, the cumulative reduction of crude steel production capacity was more than 150 million tons, and the "13th Five-Year Plan" capacity reduction target was completed two years in advance. On the other hand, new kinetic energy maintained rapid development. The share of high-tech manufacturing and equipment manufacturing in the added value of industries above designated size increased from 45.3% in 2016 to 46.9% in 2019.
From the perspective of the energy-saving industry, the effectiveness of technological energy-saving has improved significantly. The market share of high-efficiency equipment continues to increase, and the proportion of new high-efficiency transformers has increased significantly from 12% in 2015 to 46%. Over the past four years, the energy efficiency of key industries has continued to increase, and the comprehensive energy consumption per unit product of crude steel, crude copper, and alumina has decreased by 4.9%, 17.9%, and 7.8%, respectively.
